About The Speaker
The a2v model IC6 Series (Dante™, 70/100 Volt, or 8-Ohm) is a 6.25″ two-way ceiling speaker featuring an 6″ (155 mm) deep composite back can for use in plenum rated ceiling environments. The driver components include a 6.25″ (158.75 mm) woofer coupled with a 1″ (25.4 mm) dome tweeter. The IC6 series offers: Dante™ enabled, 70/100 volt or direct 8-ohm operation. The IC6-D is equipped with a powerful Class-D audio amplifier. Powered by standard POE+, the IC6-D has a MAX power of 30 watts or can be powered using an external 19V DC power supply. Using 6-layers of 2 oz copper PCB design, this speaker optimized reliability and heat dissipation making it an obvious choice.
The IC6 Series provides a wide and smooth frequency range of 60 Hz to 20 kHz and is engineered with a 110° conical dispersion that ensures excellent on and off axis voice intelligibility. A power rating of 60 watts continuous program also gives this speaker plenty of headroom for music reproduction in moderate to high output systems.
ABS Enclosure – Plenum Rated
The ideal speaker enclosure needs to be constructed in such a way as to avoid internal standing waves and resonances in the enclosure itself. It should also be lightweight and fire tested for use in plenum air-handling spaces. We were able to achieve all of these requirements by injection molding the enclosure with a fire resistant composite material. The result is a rigid, acoustically damped, lightweight, plenum rated enclosure.
Magnetically Attached Grille
The IC6-Series features a finely perforated round metal grille with zero bezel for a seamless appearance on all applications. The grille will securely attach magnetically to the baffle and quickly snaps into place. This gives the owner, architect, or interior designer the confidence to fit into any décor. The grille assemblies are white and can be painted to match the architectural elements of the environment.
Cable/Pig Tail
Keeping in mind the installer, the IC6 series is equipped with pigtail connectors to allow for simple, flexible applications in all spaces.
